PARIS - Lionel Messi officially embraced Ballon d'Or trophy in Paris, Sunday (6/12/2009) morning local time. Barcelona star insists, these achievements are not his only personal, but belongs to all the masters team.
22-year winger won the European Player of the Year title after a landslide victory over champions last season, Cristiano Ronaldo and Xavi Hernandez's teammate who is ranked two and three.
Despite receiving voice almost two times more than Ronaldo and Xavi, the Messiah does not necessarily forget myself. At the trophy ceremony which French television broadcast aired, Messi dedicate the success to all his colleagues at the Camp Nou.
"I dedicate Ballon d'Or to my colleagues and I share this trophy with them," he said as quoted by Goal on Monday (7/12/2009).
"I want to thank family, friends, and relatives who always supported me," said Messi.
Messi became Argentina's first retainer successful embracing these prestigious awards. Without hesitation, the little winger lifted the trophy expressed a similar desire, 2010.
"I wish I could win this title again. It is very good if I could come back to win. But, it depends on the performance of Barcelona and Argentina's performance at the World Cup," he concluded.
